A One-Hour Zoom Session with Nicki Moodie – Want to know exactly what your child can expect when they sit the real 11+ test?
Thursday 27th of August @10.00
This informative and practical Zoom session is designed to help both parents and children understand how the real 11+ test works, so that the experience feels more familiar and less daunting on the day.
During the session, we will look at:
- The structure and layout of the real 11+ test
- The number of questions children have faced in previous tests
- The timing of each section and how children need to manage their time
- How the different sections are presented
- The types of questions children may encounter, based on the format and style of previous tests
- How children should approach the test from the very beginning
- What to expect when moving from one section to another
- Practical exam techniques to help children work confidently and efficiently under timed conditions
-
Common mistakes children make and how to avoid them
-
Practical ways to deal with anxiety or exam nerves.
-
Top tips for the remaining few weeks before the actual test.
We will also discuss what children should expect on the day of the real examination, helping them to understand the pace, pressure and expectations of sitting a formal 11+ test.
This session is particularly useful for children who have completed mock examinations but would benefit from understanding how their mock test experience relates to the real examination.
The aim is to remove some of the uncertainty surrounding the test and ensure your child goes into the examination feeling prepared, informed and confident.
Please note: The session focuses on the known format, structure and timings of previous examinations and does not provide or predict the questions that will appear in the child’s actual test.
