Remote – One to One Home Based Weekly Learning
In Person – 10 Week Group Session – Shurdington Community Centre.
Course Highlights
- First session, face to face meeting at Shurdington Community Centre with tutors.
- Nicki Moodie Introduction to the course via Zoom for parents and children to help them make the most the course – Saturday 12th of October.
- 31-week One to One Online Course inc. the first session as an in-person group lesson – 3 x terms of tuition and 2 x half-hour weekly sessions with Maths/NVR and English specialist tutors.
- Mini mocks sent out via email to complete and go over at home weekly (Oct-Feb).
- Mid year assessment (around Easter) – with GL timings and test result comparison spreadsheet afterwards.
- GL course face to face (10 week course from 1st March – 28th June) on Saturdays at Shurdington Community Centre, morning or afternoon sessions available.
- 2 x Exam technique sessions with Nicki Moodie via Zoom starting in May covering tips for preparation for the mock exams.
- Summer course 3 weeks bespoke tuition for your child with Maths and English tutors 1-1 online.

The GL Course
The new GL syllabus has increased in contents and volume from the old CEM syllabus, by nearly half. We therefore cannot fit the syllabus into the weekly one to one tutoring sessions. Please note that in areas of the country where the GL has been running for a while, this syllabus is fitted into a two-year programme.
The Verbal Reasoning and the code type NVR questions are part of the expanded 11 plus syllabus and will be in the face to face GL course. The verbal reasoning consists of questions types on codes, numerical reasoning and verbal skills. The children will benefit from our acquired knowledge of the strategic exam technique, using the multiple choice answers.
Dates – March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th, April 5th, May 17th, June 14th, 21st & 28th
11 Plus Mock Tests
These are open to external students and usually there are 100 pupils in a cohort for a mock test date.
3 Mock tests are a compulsory part of 11 Plus course.
Dates for 2025 to be advised, bookable from January 2025, cost £60 each.
