Course Highlights
- The first session will be Nicki Moodie Introduction to the course via Zoom for parents and children to help them make the most of the course and mini mocks.
- 30-week One to One Online Course group lesson – 3 x terms of tuition and 2 x half-hour weekly sessions with Maths/NVR and English specialist tutors.
- Weekly mini mocks are sent out to build up confidence in exam technique and timings.
- Mid-year assessment (around Easter) – with GL timings.
- GL Course – an in-person, 7 week group course teaching exam techniques within Verbal Reasoning and the code types of Non Verbal Reasoning, held on Saturdays at Shurdington Community Centre from February – May. Mornings or afternoon sessions are available.
- 2 x Exam technique sessions with Nicki Moodie via Zoom starting in May covering tips for preparation for the mock exams.
- Summer course: 3 weeks of bespoke one to one, 11+ tuition with your child’s tutors.

The In Person Group GL Course
- The GL course is a 7-week in-person, group course at Shurdington Community Centre. This is held on Saturday mornings and afternoons from February to May.
- The new GL syllabus has increased in content and volume by nearly half compared to the old CEM syllabus. Therefore, we cannot fit the syllabus into the weekly one-to-one tutoring sessions. Please note that this syllabus fits into a two-year programme in areas of the country where the GL has been running for a while.
- The Verbal Reasoning and code-type Non Verbal Reasoning questions are part of the expanded 11 Plus syllabus and will be in the face-to-face GL course. Verbal reasoning consists of question types on codes, numerical reasoning, and verbal skills. Using multiple-choice answers, the children will benefit from our specialist-acquired knowledge of strategic exam technique.
11 Plus Mock Tests
These are open to external students; usually, there are 130+ pupils in a cohort for a mock test date.
3 Mock tests are a compulsory part of the 11 Plus course.
Dates for 2026 are to be advised, and they are bookable from January 2026, costing £65 each.
